Back again.

Its been a long cold winter. Finally yesterday it wasn't winter any longer. I went out to the countryside to visit a friend, who owns a farm and has a business of raising a dairy herd then the milk is part of the perks for the shareholders.  What a joy. What a revelation to see happy cows!  Not just happy but full of joy. My friend loves them and thy love her back. I compare this scene with the way cows are treated in this day so impersonally as if they are mindless, emotionless and without any need other than to be there to be milked.  So I am filled with hope and love for the future because of people like her, who show the world how beautiful this relationship with our food can be. the day was sunny, warm, and full of calves, kittens, dogs, a couple of horses and love.
